Description

Established in 1985, Restaurant Zlatar is a longstanding Belgrade venue known for its warm hospitality. It also features Rakija Zlatar, an official distillery producing premium, double-distilled spirits since 2009.

This intimate, hosted tasting experience is led by your knowledgeable host, offering an in-depth exploration of Rakija Zlatar’s craftsmanship. The tasting takes place in the original restaurant location, providing an authentic atmosphere connected to the brand’s history.

Upon arrival, your host will guide you through a tasting of 6 selected Rakija varieties, chosen from over 30 options in the distillery’s portfolio. A traditional meze platter accompanies the spirits, featuring organic mountain-cured meats and artisanal cheeses from the Zlatar Mountain region.

Your host will explain the double-distillation process, highlighting how up to 15 kilograms of pure fruit are used to produce a single bottle, with only the “Heart” of the distillate retained for a smooth, clean flavor.

The experience includes live traditional acoustic music every evening from Tuesday to Saturday starting at 19:00. This setting reflects the spirit of old Belgrade while you enjoy the award-winning spirits.
