Begin with a relaxed one-hour walk through Novi Sad’s downtown, including pedestrian Zmaj Jovina Street, Freedom Square, Danube Park, Republic Square, local markets, and distinctive Serbian architecture.
Next, travel by vehicle to the top of Petrovaradin fortress, a medieval defensive structure known for its tunnels and the fact it was never conquered once completed. Learn about its construction and history while enjoying panoramic views.
Then, visit the baroque town of Sremski Karlovci, located 15 minutes away. Here you’ll sample three types of local wines including Bermet, accompanied by cheese and bread. After the tasting, you’ll have free time for lunch, shopping, or exploring the town before returning to Belgrade.
