Description
Discover a traditional village set in the Serbian countryside on this day trip. Departing from Belgrade, make your way to western Serbia to the charming village of Struganik. Your first stop will be the birthplace of one of Serbia’s most prominent military commanders, General Misic. Visit this distinguished field marshal’s house which has been converted into a museum and learn more about his life at the museum’s many exhibitions.
Next, head to a rakari craft center, where you can admire artworks created by a prominent local artist. See how traditional Serbian “šajkača“ hats are produced and sample traditional Serbian sweets served with rakia, a type of fruit brandy.
Next, head to a stone museum and tea house. Admire views of the Ribnica River Natural Park and listen to interesting stories about the rare stone species and tea plants in the area.
