Description

You will be collected from your accommodation in Belgrade and driven to Western Serbia’s countryside, known for its untouched natural beauty. During the roughly two-hour drive, relax and enjoy the scenic views while your guide shares stories about the region.

The first stop is the Sargan Eight narrow-gauge railway. You will ride this historic train passing viewpoints of Mokra Gora. The authentic wooden seats, wood-burning stoves, and characteristic train sounds recreate the experience of the railway’s original 1925 operation.

Next, visit Mećavnik, also called the Wooden City, constructed by the filmmaker Emir Kusturica during his shooting of Life is a Miracle. Here, you will enjoy a traditional lunch.

After lunch, stop at a panoramic viewpoint and then travel to Bajina Bašta at the foot of Mt. Tara, where you will see the House on the Drina — a log house precariously perched on a river stone.

The tour ends with a return drive to Belgrade, arriving in the late afternoon.
