Description
Western Serbia offers mountains, rivers, lakes, and numerous scenic viewpoints. The tour departs at 6:00 a.m. from your accommodation in Belgrade, followed by a 1.5-hour drive and a short breakfast or coffee break.
Next, visit Zlatarsko Lake (also known as Kokin Brod), an artificial lake formed in the Uvac River valley, where you can enjoy morning coffee with a lake view.
At 11:00 a.m., the Uvac Canyon exploration begins, combining cruising and hiking over 4-5 hours. Wear comfortable shoes. First, a 12 km boat cruise takes you through the canyon's meanders. The Uvac Cave system, Serbia’s largest, includes Usacka Cave (6 km) and Ice Cave (2.5 km). Access to Ice Cave is by boat, followed by a 700-meter walk to view the cave formations.
Then, embark on a 30-45 minute (1.1 km one way) hike to Veliki Vrh observation platform for panoramic views of the canyon meanders. Return to the starting point by boat.
After the Uvac adventure, enjoy a 30-minute drive to a traditional restaurant for lunch featuring western Serbian specialties such as kajmak and prosciutto.
The tour concludes with a return drive to Belgrade.
