Description

The tour begins with a scenic drive through the Pannonian Plain, where your guide will explain the region’s complex history shaped by the Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman empires and its significant Serbian population.

Your first stop is Fruška Gora National Park, known as the “Serbian Holy Mountain.” Among its 16 medieval Orthodox monasteries, you will visit Krušedol monastery, famous for its medieval frescoes. Afterward, enjoy a walk through the park’s forested areas.

Next, arrive in the baroque town of Sremski Karlovci, where you can explore its architecture and sample Bermet, a traditional local wine unique to the region.

Continue to Petrovaradin Fortress, one of Europe’s largest and best-preserved fortifications. Walk through its historic gates, see the distinctive “Reverse Clock Tower,” and take in panoramic views of the Danube River and Novi Sad.
