Description

Your tour begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Belgrade at 8:30 AM. You will travel comfortably by minivan during the two-hour drive to the Resava River gorge while your guide shares insights into Serbia’s medieval past.

Visit Manasija Monastery, a fortress built in the early 15th century by Despot Stefan Lazarević. This site served as a defensive structure against Ottoman and later Austrian invasions and was restored in the 19th century. The monastery features vibrant frescoes, intricate floor mosaics, and remarkable medieval architecture.

Next, explore Resava Cave, a protected natural landmark known for its elaborate stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years. The cave spans 11 hectares, maintains a constant temperature of 7°C, and high humidity levels, creating a unique underground environment.

End the tour with a visit to Lisine Waterfall on the Veliko Vrelo River. The waterfall drops over 20 meters down a limestone cliff, surrounded by dense greenery. You will have time to explore the area and enjoy a meal or coffee at a nearby restaurant offering traditional fish dishes.
