After pickup in Belgrade, start the tour with a visit to Golubac Fortress, situated at the entrance of the Iron Gate, Europe’s longest gorge and a key Danube landmark. The fortress was one of the top filming locations for the 'Game of Thrones' series. Explore the visitor center, palace, and towers before a short riverside walk with free time for lunch.

The next highlight is a 1-hour speed boat ride at the Iron Gate gorge’s western entrance, offering close views of cliffs and landscapes along the Danube. The Iron Gate stretches about 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Golubac in Serbia to Orșova in Romania, with this tour covering its Serbian side.

After lunch by the Danube, visit a local rakija distillery to learn about Serbia’s traditional fruit brandy production and enjoy a guided tasting of three rakija varieties, each paired with local meze.

From November 6th to May 2nd, or if weather conditions are unsuitable for the boat ride, the tour includes a visit to Tumane Monastery instead.
