Description

Begin the trip with a stop at the Drina River House, a unique structure built on a rock in the middle of the Drina River. Capture photos and enjoy the surrounding scenery. This region is known for its raspberry cultivation; homemade raspberry juice is recommended.

Next, visit the Mokra Gora Wooden Village, created as a film set by director Emir Kusturica. Wander the mountain village and examine its traditional wooden houses and streets amid fresh air.

Finish the day by boarding the Sargan 8 Railroad, a narrow-gauge heritage train winding through mountain tunnels, bridges, and curves. Experience the historic train’s cozy atmosphere while taking in spectacular views.

After the ride, there is time for a late lunch. Local specialties to try include roasted lamb and 'komplet lepinja' — bread filled with kajmak and fried eggs.

Your English-speaking guide will provide insight into Serbia’s history, culture, and people throughout the day. Transport is provided in comfortable, air-conditioned minibuses.

Note: From November 16th to April 1st (except December 20th to January 24th when the train operates), the Sargan 8 Railroad is closed. During this time, the train ride is replaced by a visit to Tara National Park (3 EUR per person) with a walk to Banjska Stena viewpoint. In case of bad weather, the tour ends in Zlatibor center.
