Description

As soon as you arrive in Belgrade, you will realize that it is an unusual city that goes under your skin. One can say that Belgrade simply has an incredible charm. Visit a Belgrade fortress, a bit of cozy atmosphere of Gardos, some entertainment in the taverns of Skadarlija, some scents of theatre and art scene, some crazy night entertainment, a few sips of rakia from a miniature bottle and scents of roast chestnuts from Knez Mihailova Street all this is quite enough to make you stay connected to Belgrade forever. City sightseeing will be done by vehicle and by walk, with local tourist guide. At the beginning we will visit Zemun. Formerly a separate city, Zemun is today a municipality within the City of Belgrade, one of the most beautiful parts of Belgrade. Originated from the Roman Taurunum. Zemun has its historic center, authentic old streets, the Gardoš Millennium Tower, a quay on the Danube, the Lido beach and famous cafes and invites you to a unique walk and experience. Panorama tour includes: from Zemun through New Belgrade and Ada bridge via Košutnjak and Dedinje to Old part of Belgrade. We will make a short stop in front of the House of Flowers, where today is a grave of long standing president of former Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito. Then we will visit St. Sava Cathedral, the biggest orthodox temple on the Balkan Peninsula, and second biggest in the world. We will pass Slavia square, Kralja Milana street, Parliament, City Hall, Terazije square, hotel Moskva and Republic square where National Museum of Serbia and monument of Prince Mihajlo are situated. Walking tour includes: Belgrade fortress and Kalemegdan Park – the area is nucleus of ancient Singidunum (name of Belgrade during the Roman era). The tour will include walk within the city walls, nice views of two major European rivers, Sava and Danube, outside exhibit of Army museum, monument “The Victor” – the most recognizable symbol of Belgrade, and the story of Belgrade’s turbulent history. The tour continues through Knez Mihailova Street, pedestrian area and the most famous street in Belgrade, Orthodox Cathedral dedicated do Archangel Michael, Patriarchate and Princes Ljubica’s manor. At the end of the tour we will visit the Nikola Tesla Museum. At this unique location, you will come into contact with original Tesla items and demonstrations of his pioneering inventions. Expert guides present the character and work of Nikola Tesla through interesting details and stories about our great genius, but also through the operation of exhibits that authentically evoke Tesla's brilliant achievements in the time in which he lived and created.
