The exhibition ' The West Island' presents works that were created during and after the author's residency in Iceland in September last year. Two video works, which form the backbone of the items are recorded in the same geographical location, so that it is displayed on a view that stretches to the east and the other west. They are placed in the gallery so that they retain their position in nature, which the author conveys the landscape which is personally experienced in the showroom.
The paper Lidija Delic, routing works is essential for their conceptual rounding. As in previous settings, and in this exhibition, the works were completed only in the act of storing space and the achievement of specific relationships among them. Súgandisey Island Lighthouse is turned so that, as in nature, its light and sound signals to navigation of the ship on the West Island are. Lidija gallery space is transformed so as to create a total environment, so the audience this Icelandic landscape seen through a cold blue light that is interrupted only at certain intervals, pulsating sound and temperature.
Lidija Delic her doctorate in interdisciplinary studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade in 2015. Since 2012, actively working as a member and organizer of the Art room U10. She won the prize for drawing auction house Gioielli di Carta of Rome (2010). Her work is in the collection of ING Bank in Amsterdam. She has exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions at home and abroad, including solo Sunset Journeys (Circuloquadro , Milano 2017) and the group with the art collective The 10 Parallel Vienna (Alte Post, Vienna 2015) and LISTE Art Fair in Basel (2015) . In 2017, Lidija Delic represented Serbia at the 18th International Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean (BJCEM ) in Tirana. She was a finalist of the 'Mangelos' for 2017.
